Ash Wednesday is one of the most popular and important holy days in the liturgical calendar. Ash Wednesday opens Lent, a season of 40 days based on fasting and prayer. The forty days of fasting and prayer are in the regard of preparing Easter, which one the greatest Chritian feast world wide. This day in Nazareth was marked by a mass that included all the three sections of nazareth nkozoa; Nursery, Primary and College. During this mass Father Marius laid emphasy on the three components of the lenty period which he named: FASTING, PRAYER and PENITENCE.
